    ENHANCE Project Dissemination at Workshop in Patras, Greece, 22 June, 2018

    During a training Workshop that took place in Patras, Greece, between 20-22 June 2018, information the ENHANCE project, project results, summer schools, training sessions and staff exchange were presented by a team of members from the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest.     Farmers' cooperation from Campie la Deal - Arges County

    On 21.06.2018, Marius Mihai Micu - USAMVB (Romania) together with Axel Wolz - IAMO (Germany), went on a working visit to Arges County. The itinerary of this trip was Bucharest - Oarja - Căldăraru (Strâmbeni village and Burdea village) - Mioarele (Măţău village) - Targoviste - Bucharest. More information can be found here.

    ENHANCE Project International Workshop whitin the International Conference of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest "Agriculture for Life, Life for Agriculture" June 7 - 9, 2018, Bucharest, Romania

    The “Building an Excellency Network for Heightening Agricultural ecoNomic researCh and Education in Romania” (ENHANCE) project members were present at the 7th edition of the International Conference "Agriculture for Life, Life for Agriculture" and at the 9th CASEE Conference "Research based education at life science universities in the Danube region towards asustainable future",, organized by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest between 7th and 9th June 2018.     Presenting ENHANCE project’s results at the PRO AGRO FEDERATION – Executive Board Meeting on 5 June 2018

    The National Pro Agro Federation organized the Farm Food Forum, one of the most important agro-food meetings, from 8 to 9 May 2018.The event, which took place in Poiana Braşov, brought together 450 of the most influential farmers and processors in the food industry.The central theme of the congress was "Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2021-2027", given that during the European Union's presidency of the European Union, the CAP is the most important dossier Romania will manage from the point of view of agricultural sector. Romania is part of the 6 largest EU countries in terms of agricultural area - 13.9 million hectares. More information can be found here.

     


    Workshop on Challenges of Sustainable Agritourism Development in the Carpathian Area of Romania, May 7, 2018

    A Workshop on challenges of sustainable agritourism development in the Carpathian area of Romania took place in USAMV on May 7, 2018. It was focused on identifying approaches to cooperating within the ENHANCE project on sustainable agritourism development, in the framework of the Carpathian Convention. The participants from Austria and Romania discussed the importance of involving the local population when designing strategies and action plans in the field of agritourism, as well as in the research process. It has been decided that the next steps should include identifying pilot communities in Romania, and working closely together with the local stakeholders in order to analyze the possibilities of supporting agritourism development in the Carpathian area of Romania.
